Hi Louis,

the usual reasons are:

* the battery is out of power (as they age, they hold a charge for a shorter
and shorter time)
* you close the lid
* it can be set to do this after X number of minutes of no activity
* some piece of software is configured to do some task, and then shutdown
the laptop (like run a backup and then shutdown)

The battery aging is the best bet, but could any of these be the reason?

Chip

Subject: weird laptop shutdown problem

Hello. Lately my laptop has been shutting down on its own. Do you guys have
any idea why this is happening? Thanks.

Louis
