Be careful what you say in public. LOL There are many who prefer free
and will risk using cracks. I know JAWS is especially prone to this which
is unfortunete.
I also use freeware but have paid for or registered a number of programs
as well. But programs such as Window Eyes is a work in progress and I
respect the coders who must slave away trying to stay om top of the ever
changing world of computers. As to browse mode which has been a bone of
contention with many for a long time, who knows why its such a tough cookie
to resolve. I am not a programmer so I shall not speculate.
And if blind people think the web is a nasty environment to work or play
in, sighted people have their issues as well.

Subject: Article: 13 Reasons why Software is not Free
Hi all,
In relation to the recent discussion on this list about the upgrade to
WE 7.5 being a paid upgrade I thought people might like to read this
article that I thought makes some wise observations about why all
software should not be free. The article is at
http://goo.gl/053qL
I'm happy for WE 7.5 to be a paid upgrade given the new features that
are included in this version and I'd also be happy if WE 8 is a paid
upgrade too whenever that is released. Another reason why I'm happy to
pay for software is because I believe in some cases the old saying "you
get what you pay for" definitely applies to software.
Having said that I do use free and open source software as well. I
think there's a place for both free software and software that you have
to pay for.
Regards Steve
