Peter,

I just tried that on my Windows 7 64-bit machine, and it worked fine here. Window-Eyes is doing nothing to Windows Explorer. Do you have any antivirus or antispyware utilities installed that scan the file system whenever you make changes to it?

Hello

This has occurred after the installation of Window-Eyes 7.5. It was very
confusing until I found a workaround for it. Here’s the problem:

1.For instance, open the My Documents folder. I am running Windows 7
64-bit.

2.Move onto any filename.

3.Press the F2 key to rename the file.

4.Type the replacement name and press the Enter key.

5.Press the Enter key again to launch Word 2010 and open the renamed file.

Well, Explorer complains and can’t locate the renamed file. (Drove me
crazy for a day.) Press the F5 key to refresh the list, and then
Explorer can find the renamed file and it opens as desired.

Is this a Window-Eyes bug or what? Didn’t happen before WE 7.5.
