Interesting. I'm not able to duplicate your start menu experience but I
am able to duplicate your Windows Explorer search edit box. We're on it.

I had that same problem on an inconsistent basis. Running Windows 7
32 bit. It was as though the search feature was not active. A
restart of WE or re-boot fixed the problem. I could not tell what
triggered it.

Ok, I went back to 7.2 and the problem is gone. The search suggestions
work just fine now.
After that I installed 7.5 again, without any modifications, just the
basic upgrade and setup and the problem is there again, the start menu
search speaks only the phrase entered in the edit field when arroeing
up or down. So, even if other ppl can't reproduce it, it seems a
problem under WE 7.5b1 on my PC.

Dear all,
since installing 7.5 beta I have following behavior when entering text
in the search field in the start menu:
1)I open the startmenu and focus is in the edit search field
2)I enter for example "word" in the edit field
3)Win7 comes back with the suggestions and the first one is "Microsoft
Word 2010"
4)Now, when arrowing down I only hear the phrase "word" spoken, but
the tooltip gives me the hint to the correct suggestion
5)This can be reproduced on my PC with all phrases I try to enter,
like "update", "note" etc.
6)Restarting the PC or restarting WE or disabling of all apps does not
help
And sure it worked under WE 7.2.
Running Win7, 8Gb of Ram, WE 7.5beta
