Hi Sunshine,
To set up a new account in thunderbird,
1. Go to tools, account settings and hit enter.
2. Tab I believe once and you'll be on a control which says "account
action". press space bar on this to select it.
3. arrow down once and then press control-numpad 5 and it should say
"add account".
4. You can now enter all the settings you need for this new account.
Now, if you set one as your default, that will always come up when you
want to enter a new message. If you want to use the other account, you
can shift-tab back to the from field and then select the address for the
account you want to use.
You may have to play with this a bit to get things exactly like you want
them, but hopefully this can get you started.
The account action thing itself doesn't seem to talk well at all
automatically, but once you select the action you want, everything else
should talk okay. In the account action menu, there are choices for
deleting an account among other things. If you want to check them all
out, get to "account action" press space, arrow down and press
control-numpad 5. Keep doing the downarrow and control-numpad5 to see
each of the available options.
It would be nice if this dialog would automatically talk someday. <smile>
