Hi Paula, Let me share with you my experiences with the scripts as a new user of Window-Eyes. I have WE7.2 running on a windows xp SP3 platform.
You can the "manage sets and scripts" item from the file menu of the Windo-Eyes control panel. This is a pull-down menu. The first item in the sub-menu is "Scripting Status" and it has to be on for the scripting menu in the control panel to work properly. If for any reason this command is of, you to click enter on it in order to choose to activate all the scripts. It offer 3 choices: On, Off, and Manual start. You need to determine what to choose. I always choose the default setting which is: on. So, you need to go to Window-Eyes control panel / file menu / manage sets and scripts / scripting status to make sure that it is on. In this case, the add remove will show the scripts and you can also access the script manager where you can open help for any script you like. Next, if the script menu isn't still shown up, and if you have already installed some scripts whether global scripts such as the We Sounds or The Weather scripts, or application-specific scripts, such as scripts for skype or MSWord, you can wait for one or two minutes, until scripting menu is activated after you set the status to ON. Or just to launch any of the applications for which you have previously installed WE scripts. When you return to the WE control panel, you'll find the scripting menu running. Finaly, a little note to put here, application-specific scripts don't appear in the add-remove scripts or in the script manager dialog box unless you launch the associated application. So, you won't find the skype script in the script manager, unless Skype is already loaded. Hope this helps you. It doesn't show up on the WE Scripts menu, so I can't figure out how to use it. I couldn't find a Readme file or any instructions. If someone could e-mail me off list with any suggestions, I'd appreciate it. Thanks, Paula If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only.
