When this happens on XP pro, it seems that it is Outlook 2007 that is
causing the problem. It is either with HTML messages or the spell check.
 
I will call up another text to speech program, launch the Task Manager
(control+shift+escape), then either terminate the Outlook application
under the applications tab or terminate the Outlook.exe process under
the processes tab. As soon as I do this, WE begins to speak again.
 
It might be some type of memory leak or buffer overflow caused by Ms
Office Outlook 2007 in my case.
