Hi,

thanks for the tips on the url will try asap.

brian, it's where the wlm says, share something new, I think. It's really odd, but I was writing an im to a friend and somehow closed the window or something and that im ended up being my status...good thing it wasn't...er well uh nevermind. But I also know you can update it through your profile. No, the status pulldown in the file menu is just for online vs. away status.

Actually what I'd like to find out how to do is change those little

be in tools/options but apparently not anymore.

I have no problems with reading urls or other stuff in the history
of messages by just shift-tabbing en arrowing up and down.

Dave,

Try putting your cursor in the middle of the URL instead of the
beginning.

aaron, that doesn't work at all. I had my cursor on the beginning
of a url and pressed enter, nothing.

Dave,

F6 to the history window, arrow to the URL, and press enter.
There's no
need to select and paste, nor use the mouse. This functionality
has
existed in Windows Messenger for some time.

Well that just makes me want to switch back to wlm 14, if
that's the
case. So as of right now if I wanted to click on a url I would
need to
paste the conversation into notepad and then copy the url from
there?
Doing control shift right and left arrow on the url selects it
a chunk
at a time in wlm 2011, and shift up or down arrow only selects
a part
of it, not the whole thing, in the history window. Is there
another
way to simulate a left click somehow?

Yes. We're just talking about mouse navigation.

Hi AARON,
Can you still use the keyboard to navigate with the arrow keys?

Unfortunately, this is due to the technology that Microsoft
implemented
in Windows Live Messenger 2011, called DirectUI. That means
that
there
is no OSM for Window-Eyes to use to position the mouse
around the
window. As this technology becomes more prevalent, there
will be
less of
an OSM for Window-Eyes to use. You will find the same
drawback in
Internet Explore 9, as it also uses DirectUI.

We will be trying to work around these issues as time goes
on; we
recognize the importance of being able to review the screen
with the
mouse. But as this technology progresses, relying on mouse
navigation
may become a secondary option.

Hi all, yet again. Apologies for posting so often.

When I try to read the history window in windows live
messenger
2011
with the numbpad, all i can read is the menu bar at the
top of the
screen. I like being able to read the window to click on urls
people
send me instead of trying to copy bits at a time. So right
now
all I
see is the conversation name and the menu bar, file, edit,
action,
tools, help. I have tried maximizing the window, no luck.
When I
route
the pointer, the mouse says,"pointer routed to edit box." and
then I
am placed immediately in the input box and still unable to
read the
history window.
