I use ELoquence. Not because of any fondness for the speach itself (in fact
I hate that aspect with a passion), but because it has the fastest response
rate of any synthe I've ever used. And I can't stand Dectalk for extended
use. I don't know, it just grates on my nerves.

I get this with ie8 all the time and hitting alt-f4 sometimes fixes things
as well, so whenever speech is lost in ie, I hit alt-f4 and a lot of times
that fixes it.
