I did find that my .set for k1000 had braille on. Fixing that cut down
some of the delay. There is still a major delay if you hit insert and
let k1000 read a while then try to stop it by hitting insert again.
This only goes away with window-eyes unloaded.

Hi,
When I look at WE while in Kurzweil, my loaded set file reads as
Kurzweil.set, along with the same associated set. I don't remember
setting up the association to the silent set file when I installed 7.5.
But, since 7.5, Kurzweil seems to read more easily than ever before. I
don't know if there is any direct relationship between the change and
the new set, or if the silent set has changed and that is what I am
running underneath the Kurzweil set. Sorry I can't tell what exactly
happened, but it does run much better. I used to have lag times of
nearly a second when moving from word to word.

This problem has been going on for a while, but maybe mention of it
will get it fixed. When using k1000's active speech (latest version of
k1000) and we 7.5 with silent.000, k1000 acts very sluggish. Stopping
and starting speech is slow to occur, and arrowing around the document
is quite slow. If I shut down window-eyes everything is fine. I
mention it here rather than on k1000's list because the problem does
not occur with JFW or NVDA.
