I noticed this too. It got so bad I reverted to k1k v11.

But does yours runaway when speaking? Mine works fine except that when I
have window-eyes loaded and am reading in k1000, if I hit insert to stop
the reading, it takes a good while for it to quit. This doesn't seem to
happen with other screen readers.

I feel that GW Micro has always had a very nice way to handle
self-voicing programs, the silence set file. This has worked for me for
many years. I use many self-voicing programs.

Well, maybe I'm old school, but when using any self voicing program, I
shut down the screen reader before I launch the self voicing program.
The only exception is when using JAWS and Open Book because they play
well together.

This problem has been going on for a while, but maybe mention of it will
get it fixed. When using k1000's active speech (latest version of
k1000) and we 7.5 with silent.000, k1000 acts very sluggish. Stopping
and starting speech is slow to occur, and arrowing around the document
is quite slow. If I shut down window-eyes everything is fine. I
mention it here rather than on k1000's list because the problem does not
occur with JFW or NVDA.
