Hi Richard.
There is Microsoft Security Essentials, a free package consisting of antivirus and antispyware. It does not include a firewall, nor does it include any advanced security features. Personally I use the Windows Firewall, which monitors both incoming and outgoing traffic at least under Windows 7. I also use MalwareBytes in its free form as a second line of defense.
Here are the websites for anyone interested.
Microsoft Security Essentials: www.microsoft.com/security_essentials.
Malwarebytes: www.malwarebytes.org.
As for accessibility, Microsoft Security Essentials is 100% accessible, and I mean that! For MalwareBytes, use of the mouse pointer is required to click on the tabs at the top of the screen.
Hope this helps.
Take care.

My subscription renewal is just about due for Eset Smart Security and I
was wondering if there was anyting better out there, these days, in
terms of accessibility with WE 7.5. The problem with Eset is that, more
often than not, the window asking for access permission for inbound or
outbound traffic does not announce itself and it is pot luck, therefore,
whether or not you become aware of it. I find focus with WE a major
issue in this area and would like to find something more reliable.

Is there anything, please?

Thanks in advance.
