Even after you do that, typing in the google edit field is very slow. When you
then manually turn on browse mode before hitting enter, you will find the
results right there. It's as if google instant isn't turning off even if you
tell it to. I'm having the same situation, but don't know if I have some other
search tool invoked or what. I can't get to the bottom of it.

Guys. I don't understand the problem about google instant. If you just go
to www.google.com this usually a link that says, "Screen readers click here to
turn instant off." Just do that!

  Hi Edmund,

To avoid Google Instant, why not use the accessible Google page.

  http://labs.google.com/accessible/

    Hello gw staff and listers
I am using Window-Eyes version 7.2 on both XP and Windows 7 machines. When
I am
in the edit box I cannot type more than a few letters without suggestion
coming up.
This is despite having switch off google instant before entering the edit
box. I
have tried going in to the settings and entering search mode but all I get
is "no"
button. Is there a way of finding out what the buttons are for?
Any help in solving this will be appreciated as it is so annoying.

    Yours Sincerely

    Edmund Dunlop
