Good morning all. So it does open in notepad! Maybe I have totally lost it! I'll check it out at home. Either tonight or tomorrow. I'm off tomorrow and my husband is having outpatient surgery. I'm not going there since his mother will be with himbut I'll be home for him when he gets back home. I'll probably check it out in the morning while he's gone. Thanks.

Search for UIA. The line will be: EnableUIA=1 change it to: EnableUIA=0 Save the file, close Notepad, shutdown Window-Eyes, then reload it. Grinn. I must be ding bat tonight. I can't find anything. The thing is: I'm sure I've seen it before. Maybe I'll think on it. I'm using IE 8 not IE 9. Would it be in the same place in both? Guess I'm just a ditz. ----- Original Message ----- From: Aaron Smith Cc: [email protected] Sent: Tuesday, April 05, 2011 7:57 PM Subject: Re: We 7.5 and norton Not to sound like a jerk <grin>, but has to be there. You see, if the file is deleted, renamed, or otherwise absent, Window-Eyes automagically re-creates it on launch. So it is there. You just have to locate it. It should be noted that if you have file extensions turned off in Windows (which is the default, I believe), the file name will just be wineyes, although if you're in detailed list view, it should also have a description of something like Configuration File. You can enable file extensions by going to the Tools, Options dialog, selecting the View tab control, and unchecking the "Hide extensions for known file types" check box. Then go to the file menu with Alt_F. Then arrow down to Explore profile folder. Then that will bring up a list of files. Just choose the wineyes.ini file and open it. -----Original Message----- From: sandra fouts [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, April 05, 2011 7:26 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Fw: We 7.5 and norton Hi all. I thought I knew where to go to do what Michael suggested. Well, I don't. Where exactly do I go to do these steps? Thanks. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Michael D. To do so go to file explore profile folder, find wineyes.ini and open it and find the line EnableUIA=1 and change the 1 to 0 and close and relaunch WE. If this works then it will solve your problem, but disable support for UIA which won't matter unless you run programs that need UIA support. At 05:02 PM 4/4/2011, you wrote: Hi all. Thought I'd try and send something again. Raul never sent me anything and in fact, nobody from gw micro replied to me. I have 7.5 on my home computer with windows xp home and norton 2006. norton did okay with we 7.2. Since I update to 7.5, Norton seems to be working in the background but if I open it up and try to start anything in it manually or even close it, it appears to lock up. Other then getting rid of Norton and getting something else, are there any other suggestions. There are no factory settings in window-eyes 7.5 for Norton at all. Help please! Would someone from gw micro please respond to me? Please! Please! Thanks again.
