hi, the dectalk that sips with window-eyes is for the exclusive use of window-eyes. as the elaquence that ships with window-eyes. that being said there is a stand alone version of dectalk access 32. you can use this with open book etc. the later versions of dectalk 6 include sapi 5 support so you can use it with any program that allows for sapi 5. getting these later versions is a problem though. as for me I am an old dectalk user been using it for quite a while and thus I use it with window-eyes. one main reason for this is I have found over the years that dectalk is not proan to crashes and is more resposnive then any other software sinthasizer I have tried. this is interesting to note here because as a hardware synthasizer it was one of the least responsive devices out there. infact the old window-eyes manual remarks on this as well as the old vocal-eyes manual.

Subject: question on Dectalk

Hi list,

A question on Dectalk synthesizer. Is decTalk 32 exclusive to WE?
Currently I'm using eloquence but I just started wondering about
DecTalk. How many people use it?

Regards
