I don't see anything wrong with Microsoft's security suite of
applications. It does a good job with respect to virus and malware
detection in Windows 7. Windows Defender works very nicely with Windows
XP. And the built in firewall does a nice job for both operating
systems.

However if you are comfortable introducing third party software then AVG
works well with Window-Eyes. Symantec Anti Virus is also OK, but because
it often requires a special tool to have it completely removed this
worries me. It is almost like the anti virus software is behaving like a
virus.

The only downside with Microsoft Security Essentials is that it is not
accessible if you are using Window-Eyes 7.2.

Subject: window-eyes and virus protection

hi, I understand that this has been asked many, and many times before,
but I am in need of a virus protection program now so I am wondering
what program works well with window-eyes and has a good record in virus
prevention? I have Microsoft's but I feel that since it is free it lacks
in some areas and I just want to be safe. thank you for any feedback!
