Peter, please don't read this message as a criticism. Actually, I applaud you
for speaking out. Maybe there will be others who agree with you, but I want to
offer you a different perspective that may help relieve some of your
frustration.
I believe that GW is what it is, a company that has one of the leading
screen readers on the market, not perfect of course, but still very good as far
as screen readers go. True, occasionally posts get lost in the shuffle and
don't get answered for some reason or another, but that's when you have to
persist and maybe even pick up the phone and call GW tech support, which is
relatively accessible. I mean they are not in India or China, and they speak
perfect English. Now, Peter, if you are in another country yourself and have to
pay long distance charges, I can understand your frustration.
As for your displeasure with the off topic stuff, I think you have to
understand that when people become part of a list, they become part of a
community and personal friendships and concerns for one another may develop.
For example, recently some have expressed their thanks about Pastor Gil. I
didn't see anything wrong with that. In fact, I was very happy for both Pastor
Gil, whom I do not know, and the people who were relieved to find out he was
still with us. Now, admittedly, I probably have some biost here because I am a
Christian myself, but I unbiostly do believe that this list pretty much stays
on topic.
Again, Peter, I hope you or anyone else who shares your feelings won't
take this message as a criticism. I just believe that if we accept people for
what they are, and that includes Gw Micro,
whether we agree with them or not, it will help relieve a lot of the
frustration we feel, especially in the world of technology.
