Juan,

You'll find that a clean install of Windows often times fixes a lot of annoyances that crop up on machines that come with it pre-installed as there is no extra preloaded garbage.

Good luck.

about that, I am using the schools router at the moment so I can't check
that, but it is not just at school where this happens, it happens at
home and it happens at mickey d's wireless internet , it also happens
when I am connected to a router with a cable. it has to be something in
my windows but I can't figure it out. I did not have this problem in
windows 7 32 bit in my old computer. it started when I got my new
computer. with my old computer I would use it with the same routers as I
do with my new computer. there is nothing else I can do to trouble shoot
this. I just don't understand why it doesn't work, I think I am going to
put my old version of windows on here.

Juan,

What about the UPNP settings in Windows and in your router?

ok I just checked the network in Miranda and yes it is checked, and when
I open a new profile it does the same thing. not even a whole OS restore
fixes this lol, I guess I am out of luck with Miranda, my machine
doesn't like it :)

Juan,

As I and other users have not been able to reproduce this, I am not sure
what is causing Miranda to log you out of MSN. Make sure UPNP is enabled
on both your machine and in your router settings, and that "Accept UPNP
Connections" is checked in the Network tab of the Miranda options. If
all of those check out, then try connecting directly to the internet for
a while and bypass the router completely. Finally, what does setting up
a completely fresh profile yield?

hi Steve, I have the latest Miranda and when I check my fire wall it
shows Miranda as one of the programs that is allowed. I was wondering if
you could take a look remotely? I have tried doing everything and I
still get the same results. another thing that lets wlm work is if I
have windows live messenger open and sign me on first and then start
Miranda. not sure why though. please let me know thanks.

Juan,

First, make sure you are up-to-date with Miranda. Also be sure no
firewalls on your system are getting in the way. Pidgin does not work
with any Windows screen reader since it is GTK-based.

hi, I am still having problems with Miranda not wanting to work with
WLM, it will work for a while and then it goes off line and I cannot
get
it back until I restart my computer. this has been happening often and
if I open windows live mail Miranda will not even load wlm. it will
load
every other one like AIM and Skype. is there another client that will
work with window-eyes like Miranda? I have 64 bit windows 7 and I am
running Miranda 32 bit, should I get the 64 bit one? I also was
wondering if Pidgin will work with window-eyes?
