Barbara, I realize that Studio Recorder costs more money than many of the cheaper editors like Goldwave, but for a person wanting to do basic audio editing it is very good, and is designed to work with assistive technology. I paid $200 for it in 2002 and am still getting every upgrade for free from APH. You sure wouldn't do that with Sound Forge. In fact, Sound Forge will normally cost $150 or more for each upgrade and not be nearly as accessible. Plus, it is a lot more of an audio editor for pros than what you appear to really need.
You might want to try Audacity, but some people have told me that the current version is not as accessible as it was in the past. ----- Original Message ----- From: Barbara Sheinbein To: [email protected] Sent: Saturday, May 07, 2011 11:56 PM Subject: Easy Audio Editor Hello Everyone, I am looking for a basic sound/audio editor. I have had Gold Wave for a while and continue to have problems using it, so I am giving up on it and looking for a better option. I have Windows 7, 64 bit computer. I have Window-Eyes 7.5. I would like to perform some basic cut and paste of various audio files. I want to be able to listen as I edit to the audio file so I know what I am doing. Suggestions welcome. Thanks in advance.
