In a previous post I mentioned one of the aspects of Window-Eyes that
sets it apart from the other text to speech programs is the ability to
use the mouse pointer from the keyboard. Other programs have taken what
appears to be a carry over from the MS DOS days and tried to duplicate
that review cursor function in a Windows environment.

Granted I suspect that the majority of people who use text to speech
software, may be 90 percent, only use a word processing application, a
web browser, an email client, and may be a spread sheet package. Heck at
home that is all I use.

Here at work there is software I need to run that doesn't have the
ability to work with only keyboard commands. This is where the
Window-Eyes mouse hotkeys shine. Although I don't need them every day,
when I do need to use them I am grateful. Thankfully GW Micro didn't
implement features democratically. If they did that would have created
some challenges and also would have hindered my ability to do everything
for which I am compensated.
