i have also known some people that say that the speech gives them a
headache, wonder what could cause that to happen.

Well we've all been annoyed by this bug, but in fact, it's relatively
harmless.
Personally, I have to say that Eloquence is the only voice I've found
tolerable
for hour after hour of uninterrupted listening, even at very rapid rates.
Its
speech just flows, without strangely-placed emphasies, pauses, or odd
inflections, almost totally free of any strange quirks in the speech that
call
your attention to them, thus taking your mind off of what you're trying to
comprehend. I really do hope we never have to do without it, because the
replacement will surely have to go a very long way to do better. Every
"new"
voice I've taken the time to audition has suffered from problems of wrongly
placed emphasis, whether on the whole word, or even the odd syllable
sometimes.
I could never stand to listen to any of those for more than a few pages.

I have also seen this, i sure wish i knew what is happening with this, i
will say this though the ibm via voice did not do this and it is essenchally
the same voices.
after a while the voice for equlance will speed back up but it is anoying as
hell to have it do this.

Unfortunately it's an ancient oddity that's been in Eloquence for as long as
I
can remember. I seldom use that synth, but was using it recently and
reminded of
this. I've never heard of any workaround for it.

Tom
