i have also known some people that say that the speech gives them a headache, wonder what could cause that to happen.

Personally, I have to say that Eloquence is the only voice I've found tolerable for hour after hour of uninterrupted listening, even at very rapid rates. Its speech just flows, without strangely-placed emphasies, pauses, or odd inflections, almost totally free of any strange quirks in the speech that call your attention to them, thus taking your mind off of what you're trying to comprehend. I really do hope we never have to do without it, because the replacement will surely have to go a very long way to do better. Every "new" voice I've taken the time to audition has suffered from problems of wrongly placed emphasis, whether on the whole word, or even the odd syllable sometimes. I could never stand to listen to any of those for more than a few pages. I seldom use that synth, but was using it recently and reminded of this. I've never heard of any workaround for it.
