That is a regrettable statement.
They have not yet made any of their "New" voices nearly as good as the
eloquence read voice, IMO.
Not one out there dos half as well.
Unless you enjoy being read to by some one who is constantly being elbowed
in the ribs. Smile
It will truly be a sad sad day when it will not have grown enough to work
on the new stuff the world keeps cranking out.
Very sad in deed.

FYI,
Nuance, the present maintainers of Eloquence, have publically stated that
they have no plans to develop the synthesizer any further.

Yeah if they could make an external eloquence, that would rock.

I'll take my Triple talk for 2 reasons:
1. I can hear speech when playing any audio content without trying to
turn down the music etc.
2. I don't have to use my computer resources for software speech.

I'll take Eloquence any time. I've tried DecTalk, but it sounds like
some guy from Scandinavia after a couple of glasses of Aqavit. (not
that there's anything wrong with a glass of Aqavit every now and then.)

I just wanted to say I agree with you Elequence sounds the best to me
too.
The other voices are just so choppy.
I have looked at every new voice I am told about and I don't think
that they are any better than my good old Read.
I will go kicking and screaming if this one ever dies. Smile
