Shannon,

I just tried this by setting the set highlight key to Windows-H, and I was able to use it. Since you say you are not able to save hot key modifications, can you change other settings, such as the screen voice rate, save them, and restart Window-Eyes with the new settings still in tact?

Regards,
Steve

I thought I would ask it again.

*Subject:* Defining set highlight color hot key

Hello
I am not able to set a hot key for set highlight color.
Not any of my key combos stick. I liked to use the combo windows key H
for the key but it just acts like I pressed nothing at all and tosses me
back into the list of hot keys to be defined. I have tried both with the
global and program specific and it will not take.
What is wrong?
I have also tried to use different key combos and it just will not
listen unless I inadvertently used one that has a conflict.
Any one else see this?
I want it specifically for OE. I have my color scheme set to high
contrast black and when I highlight text WE will not read the selection.
I had this trouble before and it was the point that WE didn't know what
my highlight color was. We starts reading from the beginning of the
message and not my highlighted text.
Can any one else duplicate this?
Shannon
