Hi Aron,
Thanks. I figured it was a windows issue. I have checked all the drivers to 
make sure they are up-to-date as well as going through all the settings I could 
think of. I have only been using win 7 for a very short time and pretty much 
skipped Vista all-together.

This is an issue with Windows, unfortunately. I've had this happen from time to 
time, even without Window-Eyes running. Interestingly enough, I have an 
identical machine (same hardware configuration, same operating system, same 
audio drivers), and I've never lost sound on it.
