Hello.
You may have to call places like beyond sight or other dealers that sell
adaptive equipment and get a special numpad. Window-eyes will work with
these.
I don't know for sure if Beyond sight still has this numpad but call them
and tell them the problem you are having and see if they still have that
numpad that works with Window-eyes.

Seems you have run into a well-known bug in Window-Eyes. Don't ask me why,
but out of some reason, Window-Eyes does not recognize all kinds of USB
numpads. Strange, since the system does, or you would not have been able
to use the numpad in other applications. But again, Window-Eyes is PRETTY
fuzzy about that kind of stuff. Really something GW should have addressed,
as it has been a bug of WE for years.
Best suggestion is, if possible, return your numpad, get a refund; and try
another one. If possible, bring your computer (if you have a laptop) with
you to the local computer store, and test the unit right there, before you
buy anything.
And GW, ain't it time, to have Window-Eyes accept input devices that all
the flavors of Windows actually do accept, even without installing
anything but native drivers in Windows itself? Why all this fuzzy hazzle
about the numpads?

hi everyone. I have a windows 7 laptop and we 7.5.1. My laptop didn't
have a numpad on it so I had to order one. I hooked it up but can't seem
to use any of the mouse functioning keys. I tried to follow along with
the thunderbird 2 podcast where the columns are set up in thunderbird
but as I"m using the numpad none of the mouse keystrokes are not working.
Are their any settings I need to enable? I know it's not the numpad as
it does work in other applications.
