Greetings,
Depending on what you need to do, the SciPy, MatPlotLib, and SimPy
libraries that are available for the python programming language may be
sufficient.

Steve

Hello Edward,
I tried to get Wolfram to make Mathematica accessible. They looked at
the problem a couple of years ago, but decided there were too few
potential users to justify the cost.
Also, Word 2010 has a math zone feature that allows you to enter
equations in a linear format and then convert them into standard 2D
layouts, but again, Microsoft failed to make that feature accessible;
I wrote them just about a year ago about the problem.
Perhaps, you can investigate the Sage program; it is open source and
perhaps somebody has done something with it for accessibility.
If all else fails, try Excel 2010; it has a large bunch of defined
functions, and you can import the results into Word 2010.
The best, Peter Duran
