XP supports SAPI5. But SAPI5 voices take up more resources. I bought a SAPI5 voice from Sepstral and while it isn't exactly sluggish with Window Eyes, it isn't as smooth as I'd like. I decided to just use it for the voice of my iPod Nano and wait until I get a new computer to try it out again with WE.

I just purchased Ivona Joey and installed it on my XP 1.7MH computer with 1 MB of memory and it is sluggish, stutter and crackles. I suspect it takes a lot of system recourses. I would suggest you download and try the demo first. You can't get a refund if you purchase and then decide you don't like it. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
