Greetings to the list.
I just installed Window-Eyes 7.5.1 after leap-frogging 7.5. I first
completely uninstalled Window-Eyes 7.11 and then installed 7.5.1.
Whenever I open Jarte Plus 4.4, the package loads as if no screen reader
were present. The Jarte status line does not say "screen reader mode."
I re-ran the Jarte setup program, uninstalled Jarte, and re-installed
it. No joy. The GW folks have tried to be helpful, but they can't
replicate the problem. They assure me the screen reader flag is set
properly in Window-Eyes 7.5.1. Has anyone else had this problem? I
know I can force Jarte into screen reader mode, but I'd rather not do
that just yet.
I am using a 1.7gHz laptop with Windows XP SP3 and all of the updates.
