for those of you who are having trouble with jart, not going into screen reader mode send an email to [email protected] and give them the name of the screen reader you are using that does not allow jart to go into screen reader mode. I already told them about window eyes. to fix the problem with jart do the following. 1. copy the following to your clip board "enable screen reader mode" 2. make sure jart is closed, and then reopen it this willin able screen reader mode you will only have to do this once. 3. if you want to disable the mode then replace disable in the following and paste to clip board and make sure jart is closed and then reopen it. "enable screen reader mode" this also only needs to be done only once.

I'm not sure why it's not automatically turning on screen reader mode for you, but you can force Jarte into screen reader mode as per the official instructions here: http://www.jarte.com/help_new/screen_reader_mode.html hth On 7/29/2011 10:33, Craig Werner wrote: Greetings to the list. I just installed Window-Eyes 7.5.1 after leap-frogging 7.5. I first completely uninstalled Window-Eyes 7.11 and then installed 7.5.1. Whenever I open Jarte Plus 4.4, the package loads as if no screen reader were present. The Jarte status line does not say "screen reader mode." I re-ran the Jarte setup program, uninstalled Jarte, and re-installed it. No joy. The GW folks have tried to be helpful, but they can't replicate the problem. They assure me the screen reader flag is set properly in Window-Eyes 7.5.1. Has anyone else had this problem? I know I can force Jarte into screen reader mode, but I'd rather not do that just yet. I am using a 1.7gHz laptop with Windows XP SP3 and all of the updates. Thank you for any help. Craig If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only.
