I know how NOD32 works, and accessibility is good if they would do more in one area which is the popup notification. to me without it, its as good as inaccessible overall. its like having a car but no petrol or gas in them. that particular windows I am talking about allows you to delete, clean or Quarantined the virus etc. by default, when you first install it, it will be showing that inaccessible screen. people don't know because you cant even alt tab to it. the old version 2.7 is the best I would say in that area. i am refering to the version 4.2.67.10 which i last use only last week. the subscribsion is over, i move out. its really up to individual taste of software, the best is to try on trial and see w which you prefer. i can tell about viper issue as well, but thats another list to talk about.

Anti virus technology is changing all the time, wasn't all that long ago when F-Secure was extremely usable. My only slight annoyance with Eset Smart Security had nothing to do whatever with the software's accessibility and for all I know, the softwares scanning facilities may have been updated since then. The popup reads fine, and as compared to something which popup from NOD32 which a screen reader don't even pick up. I used NOD32 for a couple of years till I decided to give viper a try. And of course saw them in the top 10 antivirus solution and I read their newsletter. Their livechat on their web is good and helpful. -------------------- regards Thomas N. I'm not sure why most of you think i am named Dianne!. I'm not! Time for the rule fix. Anyway, When I bought Viper, it was $40.00 at the time. This allowed me to install it on two machines. I took a look at the Web site, and it sounds pretty good. However, two questions: 1. How do I get information on the lifetime subscription? 2. How much does it cost? I use Eset Smart Security, and every once in a while, it blocks installations without speech and in a window behind everything else. Quite annoying. I need something that's bulletproof-accessible with no surprises, is fast, and leaves everything else alone. Thanks for any info you can provide.--Matthew Chao >>> "Duyahn Walker" <[email protected]> 8/1/2011 4:07 PM >>> There website is, http://www.vipreantivirus.com/software/vipre-antivirus/ And if you have it set to automatically update your files for the deffinitions, it will do that for you. You can have it set to scan every day, once a week, three times a week, or whatever you desire. There tech support are very friendly. If there are certain software packages, it may not recognize them until you tell the software to ignore them. Once it does, it won't think that they are viruses.
