Samuel,
This is something you should check with on the manufacturer's website as
Windows Update's information is probably wrong.

Steve

says I already have the most up to date version.

Does this happen in all applications or only in one? I.E. Does it only
happen in IE, Firefox or does it happen on your desktop and in your word
processor as well?

Not sure. Have seen things like that happening if for instance a message
window of some kind pops up. Try to alt-tab through the list of open
windows, and see if there is any such on your screen. Does the mouse work if
you reboot?

Subject: Mouse Pointer Problems
Hello, I'm having problems using the mouse pointer. I've been trying to go
up and down lines using the up and down keys on the numpas, and it has
worked, up to about two days ago. Now when I try to use those keys, it
doesn't move at all, and just dings at me. Does anyone know why this is
happening?
