For what it's worth, I am not having any problems downloading books
using Internet Explorer 8 with Window-Eyes 7.5.1 on three machines
running Windows XP Home SP3 with all of the updates. Sometimes, I have
heard it can be problematic getting Internet Explorer and the download
manager to work together. Accessing samples of audiobooks with
Window-Eyes and IE8 doesn't work for me. It used to work with Firefox;
don't know if it does with Version 6 of that browser. It seems to me
that Audible cares more than some other benders about accessibility.
There's even information on screen readers in the Audible help section.

Thanks Samuel. Will give the System Access solution a go.
Wonder if audible need to take some responsibility, as I guess there is a small
group of customers who are blind, and who are also big spenders.
Hope to get system access tonight.
Cheers.
Vaughan.

Hello Vaun, I have found similar problems with the UK website, and I have also
found problems hearing samples of books. I'm sure GW Micro are working to fix
this, however at present, the best solution I can think of is to use System
Access to go with Audible. From my experience, System Access to Go is the best
screen reader that works with audible. Hope this helps.

Hello everyone.
Help please regarding this: I seem unable to get download links from myh
Audible.com library to activate.
Using Window-eyes v7.5.1, the latest audible download manager, and neither
browser - Internet Explorer v9 or Firefox v6 is successful.
This is all on Windows Seven professional (a 32 bit install.)
The download manager does not open, and I have manually given it access through
the firewall. I don't know yet if my problem is a Window-eyes one relating to
access or whether it is with the Audible download manager.
Particulalry in Internet Explorer - Window-eyes seems to read everything
correctly - just can't get download links to activate.
I'll gladly accept any suggestions regarding best techniques to get Audible to
behave properly with Window-eyes.
Thanks.
Vaughan.
