No problem. You clearly stated the Toolkit app needed to be updated. I did so, and everything is fine. Thanks for your help. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Michael Massey" <[email protected]>

Tom. Sorry if I responded to your message in an annoyed manner, but I
clearly stated which app is involved causing this issue. I hope you have
had a chance to reread my post. I became annoyed when you stated that you
didn't know which app is involved when I clearly stated, in my opinion,
which app is causing the issue.

I called GW Micro and spoke with Steven Clower. He is aware of the issue.
The work around, at least for now, is to download and install the updated GW toolkit. I tried to stress to him that I feel that if the app get app is to
alert us to updates that it should allow the update to be installed. Of
course, I got the answer that they're looking into it. How nice. If the
update issue isn't resolved by the end of the business day, then I'll
reluctantly use the work around.

I don't know which app is involved, but I get the same message every tme I
open Wincow-Eyes 7.5.1. I am using Windows XP Home. The update message comes
on, but when I go into App-Get, there are no packages to update.

Subject: GW Toolkit

Hi all. I am sending this post to the entire list to see if anyone
else is having this same issue.

I check the app central site daily so I don't miss any updates. I
checked the app central site and downloaded the latest GW toolkit on
my Dell
XPS-410
desktop running Window-eyes 7.5.0.1 under Windows 7 32 bit.

I am now using my Dell XPS-501 laptop running Windows 7 Home premium
64 bit and Window-eyes 7.5.0.1.

This time, I exited Window-eyes by pressing the alt-key to access the
menu from within the w e control panel. I up arrowed to Window-eyes
exit and closed Window-eyes. I relaunched Window-eyes with control-alt-w.
Window-eyes launched, the update announcement came up as expected
notifying me that one of my apps was out of date and did I want to
open the App Get dialog to check for updates? I opened the App Get
dialog and yet I was informed there were no new updates. I realize
that the GW toolkit was updated on August 18, but if a new update is
available, why won't the App Get app let me update the toolkit? Thank
you.
