Hello Stanley,
Yes; error reports are examined every day when we process them. In many
cases, the content of the report is enough for us to investigate and
solve the problem. There are times where we need more information or
clarification about the issue. In those instances, we will contact the
sender of the report.
Stability is always important to us, and we are focusing on that aspect
of Window-Eyes even more so for the next release of 7.5.
Regards,
Steve

Error Reports with Window-Eyes
On September 14, 2012 I did send two error reports with comments to GW Micro.
Another error report with comments was also send on September 15, 2011.
The first error report occurred when I went from Internet Explorer and next
went to Outlook Express to check email. The usual beep was sounded and the
computer lost speech with Window-Eyes 7.5.01. I did all necessary updates from
Microsoft, all apts are updated to. This computer is running windows XP. You
can contact Stanley Haupt, Phone 610-377-6048 or send email to [email protected].
The second occurrence of loosing speech with Window-Eyes happened after I
printed a one page document. There was the usual beep along with the loss of
Window-Eyes not speaking. I launched Open book 9.0 which started speaking and
allowed me to determine that my print job was successful. After closing Open
book, I went to standby mode, left it and Window-Eyes came up talking again. My
name, phone, and email contacts were provided in the error message to GW Micro.
The third error message occurred today while checking and reading email. There
was no beep from the computer, but it just stopped talking with Window-Eyes.
After rebooting I was able to send the error report with comments. Name, phone,
and email contacts were provided in the error message to GW Micro.
One other error that seldom happens is when I am deleting information in a
document with Microsoft Home and Student 2007. I did not provide comments with
that error message.
All of the above types of error messages occur on a random basis. Does GW Micro
reply directly with the person that provides comments and contact information?
How frequently
does GW Micro check these error messages that are sent by WE users? This
version of Window-Eyes is not as stable and trouble free as 7.2 was. It is my
hope that the next release of Window-Eyes won't have the above challenges.
