yes this is a w e problem. but if you tab away and back to the desktop it will start talking. another time it will not talk is if you use the windows task kill program to close w e if it crashes. the desktop will not talk at all until you open the w e control panel and close it the normal way and reload it. then the desktop will talk after you tab away and back to it again. w e is doing this with 32 bit vista and 64 bit windows 7 premium. ----- Original Message ----- From: Pat Ferguson To: [email protected] Sent: Thursday, September 22, 2011 8:43 AM Subject: Window-Eyes and Serious problems with the Desktop in Windows Seven 64
Hi Everyone, After I updated scripts this morning, and I lost my sounds in Windows Seven 64Bit, and had to reboot my computer, Window-Eyes is not reading my desktop shortcuts. It reads the descriptions of them, but it doesn't read like this: Computer Control Panel, Command Prompt and so on. I've had a few problems before, and if I just did the Windows M again, it would start reading things just fine. Well, folks, this really is a Window-Eyes problem, and I hate to say this, but I loaded System Access now, and my desktop is just fine. Any ideas? <grin> Thanks.
