Aloha,
Ok,
press window key, in windows 7,
type command
hit context key, which is left of the right control key
then arrow down and enter on run as administrator
now you should be in a dos prompt
now type
sfc
then a press space bar
then hit the slash key
then type scannow
and press enter
This checks for errors in your system files and fixes them if you have
all the needed files. If you don't, it will prompt you to enter the
windows system disk.
Another command that is useful is
chkdsk, which checks for bad sectors on your disk.
If you run it and it indicates that you do have errors,
then you need to run the program on reboot by typing
chkdsk c: /f /r
then press enter
which is chkdsk space c colon space slash f space slash r then enter
then you will be warned that it is in use and if you want to do it the
next time you start your computer?
type y and enter
By the way, the slash f instructs the program to fix the problems and
slash r tells the program to restrict the system from using bad sectors
on the hard drive.
Good luck,

computer, theoretically, I should be the admintrator.

that I cannot access any of the non-priority updates for my system, on

hidden folders turned off, but super anti spyware detects tracking
cookies and indicates that folder that is not there.
