Greetings,
To add to this, you can copy Set file definitions since they are
standard XML files now. If you have created a group of custom settings
which you want to share across specific programs, you can also associate
the single file to each application from the Association/Current
Association node in the Window-Eyes control panel without having to
recreate your preferences each time.

Steve

You can use your old set files if you just use the option under files
menu for updating old set files to the new format.
I hope this does help.

Hi everyone!
I am currently running WE 7.5.1 on my XP machine and will be getting
a Windows 7 Pro, 64-bit machine this week. Maybe I'm not looking in
the right place, but the manual and the knowledge base haven't given
me any useful help here.
I have done my own keyboard layout of mouse keys. Naturally, I
combined this layout along with other settings preferences into a
text file that I could just load when an upgrade put everything back
to defaults. The thing is, I have a basic almost global layout. I
have a different layout that I could just insert into sonar star dot
star, for that program. To me it looks as if with this new version of
Window-Eyes, if I want something different for one program, then I
have to do everybody completely by hand. I also can't figure out how
one explores someone else's set files now without set to text. For
now I'm thinking of starting out installing WE 7.2, using text to set
and then doing the upgrade, well maybe. I'm so disappointed with
7.5.1. I feel like I'm spending more time trying to figure out how to
do things in Window-Eyes than doing my work right now. As a long-time
GW customer, this doesn't feel good at all.
Any thoughts would sure be appreciated! Thanks.
