I had no issues what so ever upgrading. In fact we 7.5.2 and tbird 8 seem remarkably faster. As far as I can tell there are a few layout menu changes but nothing essential and easily learned.

I still have my occasional sound issues but they seem more sound card related then we specifically.

I am also using firefox 8 and also have no real issues except layout there seems more different according to my sighted wife.

I have delayed up grading we from 7.51 to 7.52 per the problems posted with Thunderbird. I am using TB 3.1.14 and would like to know what to expect if I must up grade TB to version 8. Is the layout similar and will I have any problems learning this new version? I found the Nostalgy plug in which gives one quick access to the folders which I really like. I surely hope this plug in will continue to work.
Appreciate your thoughts.
Jim

Tbird 8 works just fine with we 7.5.2 so you should have no issues
upgrading.

Will the latest version of WE work with any other version of

Seems like any lesser version of Thunderbird does a crazy reading of
everything that you type in the message area.
