Hi Mike!
I have your same experience when exiting K1000. When I first installed K1000, not only would it hang for a bit, but I'd sometimes get the notice, K1000 needs to close and I could choose among buttons like find a solution on the web, close program, etc. I started by calling K1000 tech support and they told me to delete the default settings, then open K1000 and let it recreate the defaults again. I then had to change the settings to my liking. When I did this, I stopped getting the error message on closing. It does sometimes take awhile to close and leave me somewhere else, but I've gotten in the habit of just hitting Windows+D to get to the desktop and not worrying about K1000. So I kind of don't think it's related to Window-Eyes, but you never know! But eSet shouldn't be throwing you OK buttons on startup. I've never had to give an ok for a virus signature update, but I can sure see why you'd guess that this could be ESet. Man, scary! Boy sometimes we sure just need a genie we can pop out of the screen to tell us what's really going on, eh? <grin.>
