While I too have seen and dealt with this, this "feature" has been around
for a long long time and not introduced merely in 7.5.2.0 <smile>!!
I am guessing that there are a lot of things and variables playing in all
this -- which synthesizer one uses when the thing goes ballistic, memory,
drivers in play, and who knows what else that totally resolving this for
anyone and everyone may be a virtual impossibility.
More often than not, rebooting is the best course to take. I don't mind
this unless, of course, I was in the middle of something and loose what I
was working on or if recording something would have to be interrupted.

The simplicity of the Gospel gives what the complexity of human wisdom promises
but
never delivers.
