Have you checked out the following? 'Taken from the Help information of
the app.

This may be a silly question, but, do you have comments/revisions enabled?

If you are unable to figure out the answer from the help text, you may
want to contact Chip on the Scripting list as he is the default expert on
the Word Advanced app. If what you want isn't currently possible, he may be
able/willing to add it.

Other information which can be spoken by the app includes document line
numbers, footnote and endnote numbers and/or their associated text, document
comments (their text and/or any of 4 other pieces of comment information),
and tracked changes revisions (the type of revision, the revised text, a
description of any formatting changes, and optionally the author and the
date/time of the revision). Also possible is the speaking of font color,
highlight color, and shading colors (shading can be done with color, as well
as the standard pattern of gray dots).

All of these are options in the preferences dialog, found in the Window-Eyes
control panel, Apps menu, in the menu item for the Word Advanced Features
app.

The speaking of footnotes, endnotes, comments, and revisions, is done in
their proper place by this app when reading a line or paragraph, and may be
done using an alternate voice to help distinguish their text from the text
of the document being read.

This does not mean however that you should never use the Window-Eyes
verbosity Word-specific settings for these items, since when you navigate
one character at a time the app does not speak any of this information;
however, Window-Eyes does if you have the correct Window-Eyes verbosity
settings enabled, and this may better allow you to find exactly where some
information begins or ends. This is a matter of preference however; the app
is not affected by the verbosity settings.

I have that enabled and doesn't it load when word does automatically?

Are you still unable to read this information if you use Chip's Word
Advanced script?

Word 2010 not being read

Hello all,

I figured that more than a few of you would benefit from this fact. In case
no one is aware, for people who make heavy use of word's comment feature, if
you want to manipulate (delete, edit, ETC) any of the comments, with WE, it
doesn't work. I had to switch back to JAWS to get those options to show up
in speech terms. (WE knows that they're there, it just doesn't read them.)
