That's the problem. How can we customize the scheme if the sound isn't
available for us to play with?

Sounds like we are stuck with that sound unless you get a customized scheme
that edits that sound.

Sorry,

Portia.

Subject: windows 7 question

Hello GW list.
I am now using a win 7 64 bit system with window eyes and have been trying to
change sound schemes in win 7 but there must be a button Window eyes is not
detecting in the sound schemes mannager or what ever it is.
I am trying to change the windows sound for when 7 first starts up.
Not the log on and log off sounds but the main sound you hear whin windows 7
first boots up.
I can't seem to find anything in the sound list saying anything about a windows
startup wave file.
There is a checkbox that says "play startup sound and you can check it or
uncheck it but I don't see anything to change the startup wave sound.
Are we just stuck with the windows 7 startup file?
Is there a button to change that one sound that window eyes could be missing?
Thank you.
Tracy.
