whats the big deal?
either use reply to all or go to the to field and put  [email protected] 
there and the message will go to the list without haveing the message going to 
the sender two times.

I think it strange too.  Most often mailing lists allow for that kind of thing 
by default.  It could be that the mail server they use doesn't allow for it 
though.
