Hi Everyone I am using the 64-bit version of Windows Home Premium, Window-Eyes 7.5.2, Dec Access32 speech and a Brailliant 64 braille display.
Since I have upgraded to Window-Eyes 7.5.2 Windows Explorer has started running very slowly when opening folders. Also, if I delete a file the name is still visible until I press the Refresh button. If I create a new folder it creates it but comes out of the edit box without allowing me to name it, so I have to rename New Folder. Also Window-Eyes calls the Desktop Program Manager and the System Tray and Taskbar Shell_Tray-Wnd. Support tell me that the Desktop is still called Program Manager and they have not worked out why this is sometimes spoken instead of Desktop. I believe the problems with Windows Explorer are related to the new version of Window-Eyes as I loaded NVDA last night and it seemed to run as it did before. When I contacted GW Support I was asked if it made a difference if I turned Braille and Apps off. It does not seem to matter if they are on or not. Has anyone else had this problem and, if so, is there some kind of work-around? I did try to roll back to the previous version of Window-Eyes but got a .dll error so reinstalled 7.5.2.
