Making sure your window is maximized is the single biggest tip for improving things with Word (or almost any program). I'd suggest the book from access technology institute on using Word 2010 with Window-Eyes; it's wonderful at telling you both how to use Word, and how to use Window-Eyes to better use Word. It comes in text, html, and has a bunch of audio/video tutorials demonstrating it's various points. hth, Chip
