I have the los of speech problem from time to time. So, last
night, I did an emergency reinstall, well an emergency uninstall, I
meant to say, and then a reinstall, but only decided to use 7.5.1.
What happens to me is the problem where you don't hear speech in the
beginning and then you reboot and it's Okay. But somewhere in the
process of it all, from time to time, I'll hear the system beep and
then I'll hear that sound that comes up when you change synths and
you are warned to change or you will revert back to the synth you
were using. At that point, though, all my punctuation marks, my space
and backspaces do not speak. If I unload Window-Eyes and reload it
again, all is well, except thereis an error and I send it each time
when there is one. Don't know what the error says. But since I've
reinstalled and went to 7.5.1, so far, since last night of the
reinstall, no problem that way.
I'm running a Windows XP Pro machine with all the hot fixes.
Now, I have a home built computer.
Take care,
Brenda

hello, i think the loosing speech part with we7.5.2 is a valid part
for gw to investigate. since it seems like many others on the list
are experiencing this. its a matter of figuring out what is the
cause. could it be a ap. that doesnt like the new version of we? or
could it be contributed to varied system updates.
sometimes i experience loss of speech on startup. we7.5.2 starts
talking then stops and i have to then reboot. its my only option.
then sometimes i have to reboot 2 times in a row to clear up the
problem then we7.5.2 is fine.
just my thoughts and concerns.
