Well this is fun, I can't help but think it is a slippery slope to be speculating in that one could easily set expectations too high and then in a way be disappointed. Not ungrateful, they don't have to give us anything, but like for example if one's employer promised such a gift and you speculated a day off and they passed out candy bars, in some ways that would suck. You would be thankful for the candy bar, but you would be more thankful for it if you hadn't hoped it was a day off.
