curios, why this has to be the case. We've had the question coming up
repeatedly. And I do see the need for turning off the UIA, for given
applications.
Firstly, why is there no checkbox for doing so, anywhere in the WE
interface? Secondly, since this will affect all software, some in a
positive, some in a negative way; why is it that this UIA setting cannot be
saved seperately for each program association? Like in the different SET
files, that the user could make up. Then, the user could turn it off for
Sonar, but leave it on for Internet Explorer. WE has already had at least
one update, with this known conflict. Is there a good reason, why it was not
handled in any of the above ways?

Sky,
The issue you describe is due to UIA support. If you go into your
Window-Eyes profile, open wineyes.ini, set EnableUIA to 0, and restart
Window-Eyes, this will stop happening. Note however that any programs
which rely on UIA, such as IE 9, will stop working as long as UIA is
disabled.

Steve

Hello guys. I just upgraded to a windows 7 6 4 bit desktop, and I am
loving it so far. My wineyes 7.5.2 seems to work fine in Sonar, no
problems as was the case on my 32 bit desktop. however, there is one
problem that is strange. if I shutdown sonar, and then check in the
process, the process for Sonar is still running. what I have to do is
turn off my m-audio project mix, and exit the process, and then all is
fine. this odesn't happen on we7.2, though...... any help would be
greatly appreciated!
