Hi Bob,

I've been using a Dell Inspiron laptop for years; it's been fine. The only
thing I'm not happy with is their software support policy: when I bought
this, you only got software support for a limitted time (2 years I think),
and then you had to pay if you wanted to download an updated driver or
anything like that (I'm not talking about calling up or asking questions
support, that's priced separately, they're just charging you for software
updates).

I'm sure I did make adjustments to things: I turned down the touchpad
sensativity so I didn't keep causing the mouse to jump around the screen by
moving my hand near the touchpad; for a while I even disabled the touchpad.
They offered a 9-cell battery as an upgrade, and I bought it, and I think
it's well worth it (it only sticks out slightly, and it gives you at least
an extra hour or two of work time).

hth,

Chip
