Shannon,
What do you see if you go into Hotkeys/Miscellaneous and choose "Program
Help?" If nothing, press the Capture Key button, press
Control-Shift-Question Mark, save the set file with Control-S, and let
us know if that helps.
Thanks,
Steve

Stephen,
I didn't think of checking my set files but I noticed that my
application key didn't work here in OE either.
I did as you sugested and went and checked for the factory sets. My word
sets were out of date. My OE sets were modified. So I thought that might
be the problem.
I updated all sets that were modified to the factory sets. I over rode
any files that were modified and replaced them with the factory sets.
and Not a thing changed.
the contrl shift ? (question) still does nothing at all. I have no
application help. when I went through all the sets this hot key is
referd to frequently for help.
It is not working at all.

Stephen,
That is odd..
I tried that one before yu just told me and again after you told me and
it does nothing while in Word 2010.
This does happen to be a document opening in compatibility mode.
Is that causing this hot key to have no function?

Shannon,
The application help hotkey is Control-Shift-Question Mark.

Good afternoon,
I have recentely run into some complicated word documents and I am
looking around in the manual for how to read these things like the
headings and the columns. I had found it once but at a moment that I
wanted to have a quick answer I then could not remember the
application help hot key. So I had to open the manual after all.
I don't like the way the new manual is laied out. always haveingto
get back in and out of the left pane is a pain.
Why dont sections of the manual link together anymore? I find this
manual harder to find what I want to know quickly.
But i got off track. What is the application help hotkey?
Thanks
Shannon
